‘They’ focuses on the study of masculinity. In the past, weeping, tenderness and delicacy were qualities associated with weakness that only women were supposed to possess. In contrast, men were supposed to be rugged, strong and powerful. Eventually, these gender expectations would begin to be lost to history. I use the androgynous flower as the symbol to question the validity of gender conformity.
